IN LUST PRT 1

 

"You distracts me" He said. what can I say to that? I feel the same but I can't say it. I pretend not to know what he is talking about.

           The well trimmed beards covering half of his face makes him constantly looking like he just got off the bed. Long slim fingers, white teeth and fresh breath. 

                 Without any doubt he is handsome, hard working and ambitious, like me. Intelligent and soft spoken, all the 'dangerous' things that usually makes me lose my senses.

        I look into his eyes, its clearly written. The thirst. Its been obvious from the first day he came to submit a copy of his transfer letter to me, 11 months ago. As the weeks turn to months and we continue working together the feelings grow deeper, silent, forbidden and strong.

   

Fingers touch while exchanging documents, the heated look across the cubicle, the unspoken works along the corridor. The sound of his voice.

It has always been there, its now being verbally acknowledged. But the obstacles are too many... and something this deep shouldn't be stolen

Circles the predators, or comforter?

Its dark, I can't see you
Like a star you shine ahead
Mirage or illusion?
Reality distorted.

On d precipice I stand
Patience wears thin
Ready to take a dive
To the unknown
Are you on the horizon?
You need to come Its dawn.

 

 Your smile, a balm
Your touch I crave.
Your words, they pulsate
Your absence, an echo
The silence, too loud.
You need to come, its dawn   

CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT: My wish.

              

                              Each day rolls into another and the desires remain the same. I just want to be left alone, be in charge of my time and things. Wake up when I like and sleep when I want. Read what I like and buy what I want, answer to no one except God.

                             Unfortunately, life is not like that and no man is an island. There are friends to call, visit and really care about. There are expectations to meet and a future to plan for.  There are people who genuinely care about me that I need to let in, of course there are those who just want what they can get. How to differentiate between the two? I don’t know.

                           No matter what though, life cannot be lived in doldrums, the good and the bad walks hand in hand, it takes God’s grace to walk right and that’s what I need. 

                          Life they say is in phases, so for now, I will just enjoy this time and season and pray that the next phase will not be stifling.

BE ENCOURAGED FRIENDS!!!

Dear friends, truly there are some of your mates far ahead of you in so many ways. Its sometimes overwhelming, you wonder why things are not the way it should be but remember, 

1:our God is a God of times and seasons, YOUR TIME WILL COME. Just keep on praying.

2: The purpose of each and every one of us is different, since God's ways are not our way, no matter what happens praise God as long as you fulfill purpose.

3:Don't measure success in terms of financial increases/successes. You may not be financially buoyant as your friend. But you could be more blessed in so many other ways. Just trust in God.

 Even when its like you can't go on anymore. Even when you feel like looking for a short cut. Remember, Gods time is the best. Its not just a saying, its true.
MAY GOD'S NAME BE GLORIFIED THROUGH US IJN. AMEN

LITTLE DID I KNOW............

You were unfaithful, and you care less

Thought you are the worst till I met him

Tainted by the ridiculous mess

Created by the decision taken on a whim

Now I see the care, I feel the fear

Understanding dawn too late.

Now I can share, Stopped the tear

Love even turned to hate

I hope you are happy, be at peace

Working on a clean slate

No more blame, so be at ease

Written in the cosmos, so its fate

When we see, surely we will

What will I see, pity or respect

How will it feel, bade me no ill

My heart knows, you were the elect

One more journey, the last I pray

All lessons learnt, put to use I hope

Little did I know, gone astray

Better reasoning this I hope

Ride on the wings of our praise

Our voices to you we raise

Where will we be without you

Though difficult times we go through.

When confused, scared and alone

Your grace will take us home

When in doubt, in debt and jittery

Your strength ensures victory.

Our faith, though weak

Your words yet we speak

‘Cos it fails not

Uprooting the rot

Redeemer unto you we call

Crucified to save us all

Faithful father, lord of lords

Not with you should we be at odd

Our hope of glory

When things go awry

Unto you we pray

Our voices we raise.

You can go wherever you like

Freewill to do whatever you want

Many trails to go on a hike

Like a bone after which a dog pant

 

Character sharpened

Habits more pronounced

Personality shown

The weak blown

 

No one to hold you back

No one to worry about

Time and days merge together,

It seems it will go on forever.

 

Like a magnet you attracts

Like a flower they perch

Like nectar they suck

Like bees they swam

Mostly for what they can get

Reap where they did not sow

Truly, time to be wise

Because of the ‘morrow

 

                              What you do when you are alone shows the kind of person you really are. Some will go astray and some will become wiser. Watch and pray.
